Woodup (2015)

woodup online store 2.0

The two shops were built in WordPress. My role included all steps from the design concept and the development process to the SEO optimization and integration of Google AdWords. Learning HTML, CSS, and some JS on the go helped me significantly, especially when dealing with bugs in the shop sections. I worked on optimizing the speed of the site and APIs until the shop went offline in 2019, as we decided to close WoodUp.

The first woodup shop (2012) was a static page with a large image slider, a shop preview with the most featured products, and a blog section with news and product updates. access to all sections was easy, yet the website was not responsive, and the story-telling elements were missing. i later addressed these issues with the webshop 2.0.

Dr. dr. grajewski (2019)

Building a simple but functional Website for a Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

A doctor's office has many different needs- some from the patients, some from the doctors. The website is the first and, in an ideal situation, the last touchpoint before the visit. this website provides a clear overview and answer frequent questions. Information such as the opening hours and the address remain visible at all times. a call to action button to schedule an appointment or, if the patient is unsure, ask for a callback is centered. For basic information on services, there is a top-level menu.

Weizenbaum-institut (2022)

co-design workshop & UX concept

This workshop is part of a research project from various scientists. The last chapter consisted of two co-design workshops in which the institute invited me to co-organize and sketch a visual recording live in Miro during the sessions. The workshop gathered AI data labelers to co-design a documentation framework for machine learning datasets. Apart from the primary research paper, I had the challenge of taking the insights from the workshops and the paper to design a platform that reflects the results in an actual product. On the right, you find my mock-up for an app that will involve help data labelers contribute to the transparency of Ai products by documenting their work.

designsprint (2021)

Building a functional mockup for a sales app

The workshop was primarily focused on what door-to-door salespeople need to sell a new product group. After spinning ideas, the main concept for an app was determined by the group. In the following two days, we built a functional prototype in google slides. As we had people from various backgrounds, it was technically well accessible and very intuitive to learn. The prototype itself is a guide for the sales process where information from the client is collected while talking to them.

experiment with lottie files

animating little gimmicks on a website might drive the attention to certain topics. This bear was animated with aftereffects and placed as a Jason-file into the page. It triggers while scrolling, making the transition from a welcome to "diving in" the actual content more fun.

design showcase (2012)

personalized start screen

These screens were created in 2012 as mock-ups to showcase digital possibilities for the car industry at a time when digital cockpits were not broadly available for the regular consumer. The scenario was to have an iPad (2. gen) in the backseat of a luxury car. The iPad would connect with the client's phone and display personal apps, news, and suggestions.

Product Photography

schindelhauer (2013)

Studio photography fascinated me as I did an internship at a large studio in 2003. Setting up lights and background has helped me understand light and its impact on Objects.
No matter if photography, drawings, or 3D renderings, the understanding of light for me is a crucial part of any visual discipline.
